After a My2Cloud update, the menu or page does not load correctly

Applies to: all users, occasionally after a My2Cloud update

Symptoms

  • The left-hand navigation menu is missing or blank.
  • The page looks partly broken or does not finish loading.
  • Opening My2Cloud in a private/InPrivate window works normally.

Cause

Your browser has kept an older, cached copy of the My2Cloud app from before the update. Because the cached files no longer match the updated version, parts of the page fail to load. A private window works because it starts with an empty cache.

Fix

Clear My2Cloud's cached files for your browser, then reload. This is safe - it does not affect your data, dashboards, tickets or settings (those are stored on the server, not in your browser).

Microsoft Edge

  1. Press CtrlShiftDelete.
  2. Time range: All time.
  3. Tick Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
  4. Click Clear now, then close and reopen My2Cloud.

Google Chrome

  1. Press CtrlShiftDelete.
  2. Time range: All time.
  3. Tick Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
  4. Click Clear data, then close and reopen My2Cloud.

Quick alternative (advanced): open Developer Tools (F12) > Application tab > Storage > Clear site data, then reload.

Still not working?

Fully close all browser tabs/windows for My2Cloud and reopen it. If the problem persists, raise a ticket with your browser name and version and a screenshot.
