How to Update Your License for Zerto Virtual Replication

Modified on Mon, 5 Jun, 2023 at 11:08 PM

Summary

An administrator may need to update the license in use by Zerto Virtual Replication. A warning in the Zerto User Interface is generated when either the license expires or the number of virtual machines exceeds that of the licensed number of virtual machines being protected.

Note: Protection continues but the license should be updated.

After receiving a new license key, the administrator can update Zerto Virtual Replication with this license key.

Steps

To update a Zerto License, follow the steps below:

  1. In the Zerto User Interface, click on the “Site Configuration” icon (three horizontal dashes) in the upper-right corner of the local panel.
  2.  Select the "License" tab.
  3. In the "License" field, paste the new license key into the field.
  4. Click "Update."
Note: For an enterprise license, this process will update the license at all paired sites, so this operation only needs to be executed on one site.
