Overview
Asigra includes an auto update system to push out hotfix updates.
on rare occasions these automatic updates may fail to deploy correctly typically resulting in an error being reported such as 'Error : incompatible Ds-Client Database'
Workaround
To resolve these errors you should first attempt to manually re-run the hotfix.
- On the DS-Client machine browse to C:\Program Files\CloudBackup\DS-Client
- Locate the hotfix file called dsclniHF.exe and copy this to a temp directory.
- Right-click the .dsclniHF.exe and click Run as administrator. The components will be extracted to the same folder.
- Right-click the extracted hotfix.exe file and click Run as administrator. The hotfix will then be applied, wait at least 5 minutes.
- Confirm the DS-Client services are running
- Run the DS-User and verify you can now access the DS-Client with no errors.
If the above steps do not resolve your issue open an Incident ticket with the support team.
