How to request a single VM failover

Modified on Mon, 25 Sep, 2023 at 9:19 AM

If you wish to have Assurestor assist and perform a single VM failover please create a new Incident ticket via your my2cloud portal or the Assurestor Support portal (https://support.assurestor.com).

Note. You will need to have DR Invocation rights assigned to your my2cloud account otherwise your request will be rejected.

Type = Incident

Priority = High

Subject = Single VM Failover

Please ensure in the ticket body you supply enough information to enable us to process the failover.

Use the following template:

VM Name: Exact name as displayed in your vCenter

Requested Recovery Checkpoint: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM

Note. If the requested VM is still powered on in your vCenter by processing the Failover it will be powered off, If VMtools are not running on the VM this will be a hard power off.

Once your failover request has been accepted it will be flagged as a DR Invocation and the ticket priority will be increased to Urgent.
