Failed to send message. SMTP server response:530 5.7.57 SMTP

Symptoms

Email notification giving error while sending email in the office365

"Failed to send message. SMTP server response:530 5.7.57 SMTP, Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM [BN6PRO6CA0046.namprd11.prod.outlook.com]"


Cause

Office365 require authenticated account credentials to be added in the DS-Client in order to send the email.
So a user name/email and password need to be entered in the SMTP settings also SSL/TLS is also required if using secure connections.


Workaround

Configure the email notification In the DS-Client > setup > configuration > notification Selected SMTP, add the SMTP server settings and selected add the SMTP server settings
Server require authentication.

Add the office365 authenticated account information in the SMTP server authentication window.

Please add office365 account name and password/confirm password

We also need to configure the TLS or SSL authentication based on customer settings, (if he is using TLS or SSL)

Server require TLS port 587
Server require SSL port 465

SMTP server authentication
Please add office365 account name and password/confirm password

Also add the receiver information in the receiver field.
