Summary

An administrator needs to locate a specific recovery volume in order to work with functions such as preseeding.

Steps

Follow the below steps to determine any given VCenter recovery volume:
1. Open VCenter and browse the datastore where the recovery volume resides.
In this example, the datastore is "datastore1".  You should see something similar to the below: Take note of the following pieces of information in your environment, based on the above example:

• The Target Host VRA is the name of the VRA hosting the specified VM in the VPG screen.
• The Owner ID is the "instanceUUID" assigned to the host in the vCenter database.
• The vCenter ID is an internal reference ID assigned to the VM in the vCenter database.

The VMDK on the right pane within the VM Name folder structure will be the actual recovery disk.
There may be multiple here if the protected VM has multiple disks so it is best to check the name of each disk as well as their size.

In the case where a VPG has been deleted, and the "Keep the target disks at the peer site" option is selected, their location will be listed in the Audit report (available via Reports -> Audit).
The information will be listed under the "More" option, for the "Remove VM From VPG and keep disk" event.
