The error is reported in DS-System Event Log and DS-Client Event Log when a backup activity is attempted.


1. System Activities were disabled ( via DS-Operator > Setup > System Activities ).
2. The corresponding DS-System license has an expiry date set on DS-License Server side.


1. Enable DS-System Activities ( via DS-Operator > Setup > System Activities ).
2.Connect to the production DS-License with DS-License GUI > Licenses > DS-System, highlight the problematic DS-System license > modify, either deselect or change accordingly the "Expiration date" field, then save the change. In order to have the change effective immediately on DS-System side, go to DS-Operator > Setup > DS-License > Update, then disconnect and connect back with DS-Operator.
