Symptoms:

   

   Starting in 7.5, the following AWS resources will be tagged upon creation automatically by Zerto:

-EC2 instances (ZASA, ZSAT, ZImporter)
-EBS Volumes (disks and snapshots)
-NICS
-S3 Bucket
-Security Groups (ZImporter and ZASA SGs)
-Recovered VMs    

 

Cause:

   

   This will help in managing instances, images and other Amazon EC2 resources. Administrators can optionally assign their own metadata to each resource in the form of tags. Each tag consists of a key and an optional value, both of which the user defines.

Resource tagging can assist Administrators in terms of Billing (removing unnecessary instances), Security (terminate unwanted instances), and corporate governance.
