Symptoms:
An Administrator may want/need to remove a VPG, while preserving its associated recovery volumes.
Solution:
To remove a VPG while preserving recovery volumes, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the VPG Summary screen
- Choose "Actions"
- Choose "Delete" - be sure to select the "Keep the target disks at the peer site" option on the following popup!
Once the VPG has been removed, without removing the disks at the peer site, you can locate the replica volumes by using one of the following:
- Looking for the EV0040 event in the events list (clicking the EVENTS subtab under the MONITORING tab). The location of the disk is specified in the description of the event
