An administrator may need to know if protecting VMs with misaligned VMDKs will cause any issues when replicating with Zerto Virtual Replication.

Solution

Zerto Virtual Replication supports the replication of VMs with misaligned VMDKs.  As the IOs being replicated are captured at the hypervisor level, the alignment of the VMDK to the physical disk is not a variable that could cause an error.

Note: running VMs with misaligned VMDKs can lead to VM performance related issues.
