Symptoms

While using vMotion on VMs protected by Zerto Virtual Replication is supported, and the VPG details are automatically updated to the new locations of the protected VMs, certain information should be considered.

Solution

Note the following prior to performing a vMotion on a protected VM:

• The host to which you want to vMotion the VM must have a VRA installed.

• If the VPG is in a sync state (Bitmap Sync, Initial Sync, or Delta Sync) the sync will pickup where it left off after the vMotion.
