Cause:

When gathering logs with Zerto Virtual Replication, an administrator may need to manually upload logs to Zerto's FTP servers, instead of using the automatic upload function built into Zerto Diagnostics.

Solution:

Zerto provides a Log Bundle Upload Utility that can be used to manually upload logs to Zerto FTP servers. Instructions on its use are available at the following link:

How to Use the Zerto Manual Log Bundle Upload Utility

Additionally, logs can be uploaded using FTP clients using the following instructions:

  • If located in the US, upload to Zerto's US FTP server with the following details:

    Server: ftp-us.zerto.com
    User: zertoupload
    Password: ZertoUpload!

  • If located outside the US, upload to Zerto's EMEA FTP server with the following details:

    Server: ftp-emea.zerto.com
    User: zertoupload
    Password: ZertoUpload!

Note: The zertoupload user can write to, but not list the directory. This may present as an error in FTP clients, which you can ignore.
